I would encourage anyone who is given the opportunity to attend the NextPL project to do so. I was a little anxious about it at first but the PL Consultant was very reassuring, encouraging and had lots of fantastic ideas to assist me in my chosen topics. The students were always very excited to learn we were having another visit from the PL Consultant as the activities were very interactive and student centred.
The NextPL project allowed the flexibility to address and extend my level of understanding of how technology can be utilised across a range of learning areas. The flexibility to meet 1:1 or immersed in the classroom setting was fantastic option to enable targeted teaching and learning to occur. My class has been highly motivated and engaged and have produced amazing work at such a young age.
The opportunity to learn about new technology, be guided through how to use, and then have the chance to use it yourself, then meet with the consultant to learn more. This process was very helpful for me to really grasp the potential and usefulness of the programs I was introduced to.
